Thinking Activity : Education and Technology.

                       In 21th Century we see that Technology and Education becomes two side of one coin. by using technology we can see that students can improve there learning outcome more.

Video :-1 Changing paradigms by Ken Robinson. 

                     The country on earth at the moment is reforming public education. there are so many types reasons responsible.one of the reason is economic and second is Culture. He also added that the problem of current education system is was design and convinced for a different age. most children attracted towards games, mobile, laptop, and T.V, so if parents don't allow to use this things whole day so what children do? they always think about this all technology. and in class while teacher complain his parents that your child not concentrate in class.

Video :- 2) and 3) are by Sugata Mitra on SOLE and Future Learning. 

                           The second and third video is of sugata miltra who talk about school in cloud SOLE and future of learning. in this video talked about his project of Hole in wall. he put the computer in one slum area whose students don't know English or even who don't know how to work with the computer. when i listed to this video i recall about the debate we have discussed in class that can teacher is replaceable with robot or technology.

Video :- 4 Use of Videos in Education by Salman Khan. 

                                   Salman Khan is the founder of the khan Academy. while showing the power of interactive exercises, Salman argues for a change in the teaching paradigm: using technology to "humanize" the classroom by flipping the traditional classroom script given to students video lectures to watch at home and do "homework" in the classroom with the teacher as a facilitator, coach and mentor.

Video :- 5 Audio track by Marc Prensky on Digital Natives and Immigrants.

                        Marc Prensky deal with the conflict between native and immigrants. that how they differ by technology. like digital natives are use technology in multi-tasking way, but immigrants are use as one task to till complete that. that natives are faster in doing work to compare with immigrants.because it is about new generation education, and now a day's we live in digital era, so teacher have to learn faster by technology. According to Prensky, digital natives are the generation of young people who are "native speakers" of the digital language of computers, video games and the internet.

Video :- 6, 7, 8) These are by David Crystal He speaks about the influence of technology on English language. 

                         The sixth, seventh and eighth video is by David Crystal who talked about the effect of new technology on English, the biggest challenge for English language teacher in time of internet, texting is good for English language. He mentioned one this in his video that new technology had influence of English language which he prove and give example of printing press telephone. this videos he first talked about the problem of multilingual and bilingual. and he also talked about the how social media effaced in positive way and say that by using this all Mediam people started learning how to explain things by using limited words.

Workshop on Quality and Authenticity of Web Resources

                                      In Department of English Prof. Dilip Barad sir organized one Workshop on the Authenticity of websites/ web resources. here, i'm going to evaluate three web resources which are used by students for academic purposes. 

                            In 21st century in which we are living we can feel that internet or social media or also mobile was integral part of our life . We can't live without it. We can see that every common man has using Phone and technology with some innovative ideas and social media. But there are many websites on internet on which we can find what we want ? But........ Was it Authentic or reliable for us? Are we getting real information or truth? Can we trust on any kind of website?

                               Internet tool for is best tool for anyone because there we can do anything, like fight with other, we can learn anything, anywhere this kind of numeral use of internet. but as students we need to know which kind of material we have to refer in the academic writing like assignment, presentation, research paper, examination etc.

                              We can find information from Google, Internet; whenever we open first page we can find Wikipedia, with every page's information we find it first. so, Wikipedia gives us some baisc and with simple language, we can easily come to understand it. there are many other websites also which provides us good knowledge. i am also using internet for academic purpose. which  ever text or novel which i can't understand in class then i can repeat it with internet and i can learn whatever i want and at whatever time.so, we have to keep notice on some parameters which are,

• Originality
• Authenticity
• Quality
• Quantity
• Authority  

                                          So, with the above Parameters we can observe or evaluate the particular website which we are using in our routine life. So, it was a very fruitful and useful session for us. we learn a lot new things from department. so, warmly Thank you to Dr. Dilip Barad sir for organisation this such a wonderful workshop.

Robinson Crusoe in the context of "A grain of Wheat"

                                Robinson Crusoe is a novel written by Daniel Defoe.  Robinson Crusoe leaves the island and arrives in England on 1687. Robinson is master and Friday is slave. He becomes slave because Robinson saves his life.  and Robinson believes in Christianity. That's why he also taught cristinity to Friday. And then Friday also believes in Christianity. 

                                    Robinson becomes colonizer and Friday becomes colonized.  For Friday island is native land. But he is under the controll of Robinson. For Robinson island is not his native land.  But he has a power to control and rule on that island. On his native place he does not feel safe with his native people. But he safe with Robinson. He because native people attacks on him. At that time Robinson saves him. He is ready to become a slave of Robinson. Robinson is outsider.  And he controls the island. He becomes ruler. And he develops island.  So outsider becomes the rules and control native people.

Important of Mass Media and Communication

                      Mass Media means technology that is intended to reach mass audience through communication. Mass media is a medium to connect people with information of news, entertainment, religion related things and so on. Somehow offline and online tools things through communication has become possible for us. People use technology widely and it's helpful to save time and money also because, it's not only upper class people or rich people but,  common people also afford these. Communication becomes more important in this time. 

                         News paper, television and radio that reach a large number of people; this tools are called mass media. Some how people use television, newspaper, tabloid, internet, radio and so on. 

                          Communication means the act of sharing or exchanging information, ideas or feelings. For example, Radio is the only means of communication in remote areas. 

                        Write blog is one of the most helpful ways of using social media.  Blogs you can share your stories effectively in individual and group works. 

                              Likedin, facebook, instagram, whatsapp, resources apps are very helpful to conversation.
